The transient was discovered on 13th November 2021 at 11:41:54 (MJD 59531.49) by ZTF as ZTF21acowezp with a discovery magnitude of g = 18.10. It was subsequently classified as a SN Ia at z = 0.068.

Sherlock Contextual Classification

Prediction: Supernova

The transient is possibly associated with SDSS J132842.6+660844.7; a J=14.98 mag galaxy found in the SDSS/2MASS/PS1 catalogues. Its located 2.79" N, 1.82" E (4.3 Kpc) from the galaxy centre. A host z=0.068 implies a m - M = 37.42.
