The transient was discovered on 13th December 2018 at 12:18:43 (MJD 58465.51) by ZTF as ZTF18acvwcig with a discovery magnitude of r = 18.94. It was subsequently classified as a SN Ia at z = 0.102.

Prediction: Supernova
The transient is possibly associated with 2MASXJ14110291%2B5431534; a J=14.78 mag galaxy found in the NED/SDSS/2MASS/PS1 catalogues. It's located 4.09 arcsec S, 5.11 arcsec W (12.3 Kpc) from the galaxy centre. A host z=0.102 implies a m - M = 38.36.
