The transient was discovered on 13th September 2023 at 10:48:00 (MJD 60200.45) by ZTF as ZTF23abcvqkd with a discovery magnitude of r = 19.89. It was subsequently classified as a SN Ia-91T-like at z = 0.030.

Prediction: Supernova

The transient is possibly associated with SDSS J012038.93+321416.1; an r=20.02 mag galaxy found in the SDSS/PS1 catalogues. Its located 1.74" S, 0.77" E from the galaxy centre.
