Prediction: Supernova

The transient is possibly associated with SDSS J003959.1+271132.2; a J=14.69 mag galaxy found in the SDSS/2MASS/PS1 catalogues. Its located 3.74" N, 2.89" E (6.4 Kpc) from the galaxy centre. A host z=0.071 implies a m - M = 37.54.
