Prediction: Supernova

The transient is possibly associated with CGCG097-068; a J=12.00 mag galaxy found in the NED_D/SDSS/2MASS/LASR/PS1 catalogues. Its located 2.71" S, 4.15" E (1.7 Kpc) from the galaxy centre. A host distance of 80.1 Mpc(z=0.020) implies a m - M = 34.52.
