Prediction: Supernova

The transient is possibly associated with SDSS J105253.19+085055.6; an r=18.27 mag galaxy found in the SDSS/PS1 catalogues. Its located 3.11" S, 0.30" E (6.8 Kpc) from the galaxy centre. A host z=0.120 implies a m - M = 38.74.
