Prediction: Supernova

The transient is possibly associated with UGC08642; an r=15.63 mag galaxy found in the NED_D/SDSS/LASR catalogues. Its located 10.21" N, 21.30" W (3.6 Kpc) from the galaxy centre. A host distance of 31.3 Mpc(z=0.008) implies a m - M = 32.48.
