Prediction: Supernova

The transient is possibly associated with SDSS J171133.44+583309.1; a J=15.54 mag galaxy found in the SDSS/2MASS/PS1 catalogues. Its located 1.00" S, 1.48" W (2.7 Kpc) from the galaxy centre. A host z=0.096 implies a m - M = 38.23.
