The transient is possibly associated with MESSIER064; a W1=7.38 mag galaxy found in the NED_D/LASR catalogues. It's located 3.35 arcsec S, 42.61 arcsec E (1.1 Kpc) from the galaxy centre. A host distance of 5.2 Mpc(z=0.001) implies a m - M = 28.60.
