The transient was discovered on 29th November 2018 at 08:39:50 (MJD 58451.36) by ATLAS as ATLAS18zoe with a discovery magnitude of orange = 18.53. It was subsequently classified as a SN Ia at z = 0.060.

Sherlock Contextual Classification

Prediction: Supernova

The transient is possibly associated with 2MASXJ01030304%2B2727338; an r=15.94 mag galaxy found in the NED/PS1 catalogues. It's located 39.97 arcsec N, 8.21 arcsec E (47.6 Kpc) from the galaxy centre. A host z=0.060 implies a m - M = 37.16.
