The transient was discovered on 28th November 2018 at 11:13:55 (MJD 58450.47) by ZTF as ZTF18acrxpzx with a discovery magnitude of g = 19.21. It was subsequently classified as a SN II at z = 0.036.

Sherlock Contextual Classification

Prediction: Supernova

The transient is possibly associated with 2MASSJ11110359%2B6414456; an r=17.91 mag galaxy found in the NED/SDSS/PS1 catalogues. It's located 4.45 arcsec N, 2.69 arcsec E (3.7 Kpc) from the galaxy centre. A host z=0.035 implies a m - M = 35.96.
