The transient was discovered on 28th November 2018 at 10:36:28 (MJD 58450.44) by ATLAS as ATLAS18zoj with a discovery magnitude of orange = 19.12. It was subsequently classified as a SN II at z = 0.034.

Prediction: Supernova

The transient is possibly associated with SDSSJ032018.78-001747.9; an r=20.69 mag galaxy found in the NED/SDSS/PS1 catalogues. It's located 1.20 arcsec N, 0.43 arcsec W from the galaxy centre.
