The transient is possibly associated with 2MASXJ08312522%2B5050496; a J=14.90 mag galaxy found in the NED/SDSS/2MASS/PS1 catalogues. It's located 15.52 arcsec N, 6.42 arcsec E (35.0 Kpc) from the galaxy centre. A host z=0.120 implies a m - M = 38.74.
