The transient was discovered on 25th November 2018 at 08:08:09 (MJD 58447.34) by ZTF as ZTF18acrcizr with a discovery magnitude of r = 18.61. It was subsequently classified as a SN Ia at z = 0.045.

Prediction: Supernova

The transient is possibly associated with SDSS J012318.94+221151.1; a J=15.56 mag galaxy found in the SDSS/2MASS/PS1/GAIA catalogues. It's located 0.31 arcsec S, 0.10 arcsec W from the galaxy centre.
