The transient was discovered on 7th November 2018 at 05:36:57 (MJD 58429.23) by ZTF as ZTF18abupgps with a discovery magnitude of g = 20.43. It was subsequently classified as a SN Ia-91T-like at z = 0.099.

Sherlock Contextual Classification

Prediction: Nuclear Transient

The transient is synonymous with WINGSJ010751.74-154050.5; a 17.80 mag galaxy found in the NED catalogue. It's located 0.3 arcsec (0.6 Kpc) from the galaxy core. A host z=0.099 implies a m - M = 38.30.
