The transient was discovered on 10th May 2018 at 00:00:00 (MJD 58248.00) by ZTF as ZTF18aarldnh with a discovery magnitude of g = 19.95. It was subsequently classified as a SN Ia at z = 0.108.
Sherlock Contextual Classification
Prediction: Supernova
The transient is possibly associated with SDSS J130237.43+555527.1; a J=13.88 mag galaxy found in the SDSS/2MASS/PS1 catalogues. It's located 5.79 arcsec N, 0.85 arcsec W (10.8 Kpc) from the galaxy centre. A host z=0.108 implies a m - M = 38.49.
